Georgetown Ministry Center and Stone Soup Films

I had the wonderful opportunity of being an assistant producer on a series of films about a homeless outreach center in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. I coordinated logistics, went on shoots and interviewed some of the subjects. I also provided feedback in the editing process.

Mysteries of the Rainforest

I was a production intern for JWM Productions from January through April 2016. One of the main projects I worked on was Mysteries of the Rainforest, a one episode television show on the Smithsonian Channel about Barro Colorado Island and the research going into studying the effects of El Niño on the animals and plants on the island. It was a very intriguing show to work on and contribute to its completion. I conformed scripts, researched, transcribed footage and assisted the producers in a variety of other tasks to complete the project. The link to the show's page is here.

St. Mary's College of Maryland

I edited a couple of videos (so far) for St. Mary's College of Maryland, focusing on the importance of giving back to the institution that they attended. I used Adobe Premiere Pro CC to create these short videos (under one minute). The link to the videos is available here: St. Mary's College of Maryland Videos

A Day at the Museum

        I shot this video on iPhone 6s on a visit to the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons, MD. I edited the videos together using Adobe Premiere Pro CC and obtained royalty-free music from incompetech.com. The video was shot and edited all in one day.

PrezCon 2017 Video

I produced, shot and edited this video using a Canon Rebel T5i DSLR camera with Rode shotgun mounted microphone. I volunteered to make this video to practice my filmmaking skills and the PrezCon team wanted to have the video appear on their website. The film is also located at www.prezcon.com

Project Create

This documentary is about Project Create, an arts education nonprofit that serves homeless and low-income youth primarily east of the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C. It was created as part of a documentary contest called Doc-in-a-Day set up by Stone Soup Films and Media Rise. Our team of four people had 48 hours to film, edit and upload a 2-4 minute documentary. I did the interviewing and editing using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Camera operators used Sony HD camcorders along with boom microphones for improved sound recording. Special thanks to Project Create for their assistance in the making of this documentary.

Chasing the Shadow

This piece came from an assignment in my Video 2 course at Anne Arundel Community College. The assignment required our group to adapt a story to film. In this case, our group decided to adapt one of Aesop's fables called "The Dog and the Shadow." The fable is enclosed here. We used a Canon XF-100 HD camera with Adobe Premiere Pro CC editing software along with Adobe Audition. The story tells of two friends who get along well until one starts noticing someone hanging out with his best friend. I did camera work, editing and appear in the piece in a minor role.
